Northern Lights over the Firth of Clyde

We were treated with a grandiose spectacle of the Northern Lights looking North over the Firth of Clyde. Around 9pm, a vibrant red aurora was clearly visible with the naked eye for around 20 minutes before fading away. An hour later, the aurora re-emerged, painting the entire Northern sky a vibrant green.

I am chuffed that my photo was spotted on Facebook by the Picture Editor of the Daily Mail and was published.

Stonechats on the shore at Portencross

It was lovely to see a pair of stonechats darting round the rocks on the shore at Portencross.

A absolute stunning sunset

There is just nothing better than to come home (after a hard day in the office and a longer journey home due to road closures following an accident) than to relax with a glass of wine while admiring the sunset over the water.

And what a sunset it was! This is what makes Morland House and living on the coast so special.

What a view

Admiring the view with a coffee on the bench in front of our new home on beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Sunset over Wemyss Bay and Toward Point

A beautiful sunset tonight with stunning views over the Firth of Clyde toward Toward Point and towards Dunoon over Wemyss Bay Pier and Station.

Wow! What a sunset

Tonight’s sunset is simply stunning.

This is what makes living on the North Ayrshire coast so special.

The PS Waverley sailing by
